Groups and workshops are offered at various times throughout the year. Group sizes are limited and pre-registration is required.  The groups offered are considered skills-development workshops, rather than therapy groups.  Past participants have reported improved sense of capacity and well-being when responding to life's challenges.

Mindful Self-Compassion (MSC)

This is an 8 week skill-development program initiated by Kristin Neff Ph D and Christopher K. Germer PhD.  Designed to cultivate and recover compassion for the self and the ability to self-soothe in challenging times.   Participants report increased self-care and health-related behaviours, reduced symptoms of anxiety and depression, improved self-acceptance and emotion tolerance, and life satisfaction.  Research also indicates MSC helps reduce burnout, or caregiver fatigue.

Target Audience:  the general public, caregivers, helping professionals...anyone with a strong inner critic who wants to improve their ability to manage stress and build resilience.

Restoring Resilience:

Meditation and Body Practice for calm and strength in difficult times

Our bodies are designed to respond to stress in short duration. The ongoing demands of the pandemic can tax the system if we don’t have the opportunity to rest and recharge.  Using meditations, group discussion, and body-based experiencing, this group is about connecting to ourselves and others, and reconnecting to our ability to not just survive, but thrive despite these challenges.


Target Audience: the general public, health care professionals.  If you feel overwhelmed and out of your depths, this may be the course for you!
